Mortgage, 1560, April 8. 2 Elizabeth I.

Grant by John Caysier of Gretpeckam in the county of Kent, yeoman, of an annuity of £4, payable out of John's lands, etc., in the parishes of Great Peckham and Hadlowe in the county of Kent. With the provision that if John pay to Michael or his attorney £40 in the mansion house in which Thomas Bysshopp dwells at le Stayer in Hadlowe on the feast of SS. Philip and James the Apostle, 1561, then the annuity shall cease and this grant becomes null and void. Enclosed with a note in English that this deed was shewed forth unto Thomas Drew being examined as a wytness on the behalfe of Anthony Palmer and others, defendants against William Chetwyn, compleynant, which examination was taken in Michaelmas term 1597 by Leonard Robertson, examiner in Chancery.
